My name is Linda. I was born and raised in Tennessee. Married to a great guy, we have 3 grown children. I’m retired from the Judiciary System. I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago so yes I’m addicted. My hobbies are shopping for scrapbooking supplies, spending time with my family, grilling, gardening and jeeping .The Mosy Scrapper is my second home. Christa and her Design Team are awesome ladies and I’m very proud to be on their team for the month of July.

3 BIG announcements for winners galore!

Are you ready for July?

No seriously....are YOU ready for July?

I ask because we have TONS of opportunities for winners of all scrap styles, challenges to make you go hmmm?, and lots of inspiration and chatter for this month!!!

Come on down to the message board and you'll see! So get your pen and paper out and be ready to jot all the GREAT info you don't want to miss!


*FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT:

Come ALL!!


We want to find our NEXT Guest Designer for the month of AUGUST!! Is it you?

Here's what you need to do:

1.) First sign up at THE MOSY SCRAPPER and become a member. Get a acquainted with all the ladies on the board, post some comments (a minimum of 25 posts to enter please), take a look at the SUMMER CHALLENGE and participate!

2.) Enter your take on a sketch for the August GDT call (see Valerie Salmon's sketch below). Turn it into the TMS Gallery (GDT Call entries folder) on the message board along with the items you used in your creation. Please make this a "new" layout and never before seen.

3.) ALSO...enter your most FAVE layout you have made (can be new or old) into the same folder found in the TMS gallery and in the description tell us why it's your favorite.

4.) Have these 2 entries in by July 19th at Midnight ET into the TMS gallery.

5.) Winner will be notified by PM no later than July 21st!

6.) Reign will begin August 1st - August 31st

7.) Duties of the August GDT:

• participate on the message on a regular basis,
• post at least ONE guest designer challenge,
• create at least 4 items using the sponsored kit (donated by Serendipity Scrapbooks!!)


• do the questions of the day and scrap questions of the day for the month of August (if need help not a problem),
• and just scrap and chat the time away with the TMS gang!

*SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT:

Do you like RAKs (random acts of kindness)? Who doesn't?!

Well...if you want a chance at winning a RAK...start posting to the TMS gallery!!! TMS's DT coordinator (Melissa Priest) needs YOU to post as many of your favorite layouts that you have done in the past 3 months into the gallery.

WHY?

So that we can get inspiration of course, but ALSO so that YOU could be a RAK winner!

ONE lucky, "NEW" scrapper will be featured as the Inspiration of the Week (IOTW) each Friday in the month of JULY!!! The IOTW of that week will receive a RAK from me!! Let's see here...what do I have to give away??? Hmmm....

Two Announcements!!!

I and the TMS designers are proud to make two announcements about the recent GDT call and the Monthly Contest.

June Card Charity

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that the charity for the month is:

St. Louis Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

What a great cause to donate card too. Here are the details:

1. Make cards of any shape and size, just make sure that you have an envelope that they fit in.
2. Inside the card add a note of encouragement or something to lift the recipients' mood & spirit. Just write a bit and sign with "your friend at The Mosy Scrapper" and you can even add your name if you want.
3. Please send me (Lori p) your cards BY June 30th, I want to have them mailed out by July 2nd so that they can begin giving them out after the holiday.
4. For every 3 cards, please send a stamp to help pay for postage!!

Who is the MONTHLY MOSY MEMBER for June?

Why, it's our DT member, Melissa Priest!

I got to learn a little more about Melissa when I sent her some questions to answer for our viewers. Here is what she had to say:

Username and history: Melissa - I chose this because its my firstname, and well, hopefully it will be easy for people to remember who Iam!

How'd you find TMS? I read about it on scrapbook.com and got a PM fromChrista about it.

What do you do? I am a SAHM and an Interior Designer (though I don'tdo tons of design work, because i want to concentrate on raising mykids).

When and how did you start? I started scrapping in 2005, right aftermy daughter passed away. I was looking for a way to capture mymemories of her before I forgot them, and scrapping did just that.

Describe your style - I love the clean and classic look. I want a pagethat tells my story, without all of the clutter.

What size do you normally scrap? - 12x12Are you a single photo scrapper or the more the better - Usually onlyone or two photos.

Do you put your layouts right into albums? - nope! I have a 8 inch pileof old layouts just piled up right now!How many full albums do you have - 8

What are your current projects? - I am working on a layout for my JuneDT Projects for TMS, as well as a layout for Page Maps. Beginning inJune, I will be a regualr contributor there.

Who are the focal points of most of your layouts? - I guess the photos are, but I do usually try to have great journaling to catch your eye as well.

What’s your idea of a perfect way of scrapping? - Quick and Easy! I love using sketche to help me get a ton of layouts done in a short amount of time.

Do you have any favorite lines? Why? - Definately October Afternoon and Scenic Route. I love that they use bright colors and classic patterns. Oh and I love Jenni Bowlin for the same reasons!

Do’s and Don’ts of scrapping:

• Do have fun!
• Do make a mess. Scrapping doesn't have to be clean!
• Do go outside of your box every now and then. Learn something new!
• Don't be afraid to scrap the same photos over and over. If you love a photo, scrap it all you want!
• Don't get so wrapped up on getting published and being on a DT.Remember why you are scrapping - to preserve your memories.
• Don't worry. Nothing is always perfect and not every layout will be amasterpiece. Sometimes you just need to get a page done, and that's ok.

Any words for advice for any scrappers out there - Do something creative everyday. Even if you are only sorting photos, or puttingaway the mess from the day before. Just thinking about your pages,your photos and your memories will help you be inspired when you dohave time to sit and scrap!

Summer Points Challenge

From June 1st - August 15th there will be a challenge.

WHAT TYPE OF CHALLENGE?

JUST SCRAP Challenge!

From today thru August 15th, every challenge that is posted will receive a point value. If you've been to one of our crops you will be familiar to how the 'point system' works. I will tally up all the points for this challenge. And after August 15th, one lucky scrapper will receive a BIG LOOT from me!!!

Hope this gives you the kind of push, shove to scrap your heart out!

*At the bottom of each challenge there will be a point value given to each challeng. And after that thread, I myself or one of the DT members that post the challenge, will keep a tally of all that participate for that particular challenge. This will help you follow along with the amount of points you have and how many more points to get to the BIG LOOT! I hope that you take the plunge this summer and scrap FAST and don't forget to read the challenge instructions thoroughly!
